Thailand commits to anti poaching assistance for Tanzania

Thailand has committed to assist Tanzania in its anti poaching efforts by providing training and equipment. Thailand will also provide scholarships for short and medium anti poaching courses to Tanzanians in the tourism sector.

A co operation agreement on wildlife management and conservation has been signed between the two countries.

During President Obama’s visit to the country, a new initiative was announced to curb wildlife trafficking in Africa .The US will in addition assist Tanzania by supporting government efforts in the  development of  a wildlife security strategy.
